WELCOME TO THAILAND
Thailand is considered to be among the top 10 scuba diving destinations in the world. Internationally renowned diving locations on both coasts, like Phuket, Koh Tao, Koh Lanta, Khao Lak, Koh Chang, and Krabi boast crystal clear waters, spectacular reef and rock formations plus a stunning variety and colorful selection of marine life.
Since 2003, an estimated 275,000 divers and snorkellers set out to explore the coral reefs of the Andaman and the South China Seas every year, and the numbers are growing as people discover the wealth and beauty of Thailand’s wonderous culture, and the host of spectacular, virgin dive locations available and waiting for your personal discovery.
Being a popular diving destination doesn't mean that there are no problems encountered while diving in Thailand. In the opinion of many participants of the international diving community, the emergency medical services available to divers here is scarce , especially if divers experience Decompression Illnesses (DCI). If there is anything that can improve the recreational diving industry’s level of safety here in Thailand, it would be an effort to improve the medical services available to divers.
Badalveda was formed in 2002 by a group of physicians and nurses specialized in diving medicine. We provide a comprehensive health service for divers administered through our network of Diving Medicine Centers located at major diving spots in Thailand. Our services range from educational programs which promote internationally approved diving safety courses and 24 hr emergency recompression treatment facilities for divers who may be experiencing symptoms of decompression illness… to full service, world class, hospital based diagnostic services and Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment Centers for approved non-diving related illness.

Mission
Badalveda is committed to promote safe diving in Thailand by providing emergency evacuation services to our many recompression facilities on 24 hr standby, closest to the most popular diving spots. We are fully equipped, trained and ready to provide immediate emergency medical diagnosis, and proper, professional care subsequent to any diving emergencies. Additionally, we employ ‘state of the art’ Telemedicine Conferencing Technology to ensure appropriate, up-to-date, international standards of diving medicine practice through an ability to be immediately in contact with a variety of specialized health care professionals, even your personal physician back home.
Our Network
Badalveda operates through our network of diving medicine centers. Badalveda Centers are strategically located close to popular diving spots that can be conveniently accessed by divers, even from the most remote diving areas. Our dedicated Diving Telemedicine Consultation Network ensures that Diving Medicine and any additional specialised medical services that may be needed are available on a 24 hr, 7 day basis.
Presently, five Badalveda Diving Medicine Centers are operating in Bangkok, Koh Tao, Koh Samui, Koh Phuket and Pattaya. Each facility is staffed by Dive Medical physicians, We enjoy an affiliation with the world renowned Bangkok Hospital Group.
Our staffing includes Royal Thai Navy trained and Internationally accredited Hyperbaric Pysicians, trained hyperbaric nurses and chamber operators, all specially trained and with certified experience in diving medicine, who are ready to provide World Class emergency diagnosis and hyperbaric recompression treatments for injured divers on short notice. We are on-call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days each year.

Services
Badalveda provides a comprehensive range of medical services for divers ranging from ‘fitness to dive’ physical examinations to timely and professional treatment of diving accidents and illnesses like barotrauma, wounds, infection and decompression illnesses. But our most important service is Hyperbaric Chamber Stand-By in the event of emergency situations, to ensure that every diver with diagnosed symptoms of DCI is safe and that they receive the appropriate professional treatment as quickly as possible for the best result, without residual symptoms.
How to get our Services
Divers interested in Badalveda’s Hyperbaric Stand-by Program can simply request their dive operators to register their names and proficiency level before commencing their diving holiday trip. For a minimal fee, our Predive Enrollment will simplify and assure that Badalveda will be your personal resource for a full week of diving. If symptoms of DCI should manifest, hyperbaric treatment will be available immediately, at our reduced member rate which is demonstrably the lowest in Southeast Asia.
Other diving medical services and specially stocked diving pharmacies are available at Badalveda Centers in your diving area.
Medical Facility
Medical Standard Hyperbaric Chambers complete with Hyperbaric respirators, IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring systems and other state of the art medical equipment at Badalveda guarantees you the best possible care even in worst-case diving emergencies.
